In February 2016 the couple, Mark Turton and Bea Sebestyen took over the former Italian restaurant, Prego.
They soon reopened as #7 Church Street with the aim of creating a place where everyone should feel comfortable, and the quality and flavours remain in a less formal atmosphere. Weeks after opening, their food has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes and they have been recognized by the Michelin Guide 2018.
Our restaurant has 4 en-suit rooms. Because of the location it’s very popular amongst tourists, business people, walkers and cyclists.
Located in Church Street, the pedestrianised centre of the old part of Monmouth town does, though, make it an ideal place to stay. Free of a lot of traffic noise, it is also quiet and has ample public parking right outside the back door.
